Here we have four natural remedies for hair breakage you can try at home using things from your local shop.
Whether you are losing hair excessively or suspect that your hair is not as moisturized as healthy hair should be – you are probably suffering from hair breakage as well. Whenever something is wrong with the hair, it usually comes down to the hair being two things: dry and damaged.
Dry and damaged hair can be the result of the most ordinary causes like shampoo, straightening, excess brushing, and even blow-drying. And the hair of this kind is prone to breakage and their ends splitting.
There are a few things you can try to stop your hair from experiencing damage just because you cared enough to wash it.
Green Tea
Green tea is a fantastic drink – tasty and healthy. It is also great for the hair. Green tea is high in catechins, which give it antioxidant properties. Plus, catechins help boost hair growth. Green tea’s anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties do not hurt either.
So, how do we use it on the hair?
Mix a ½ tablespoon of powdered green tea with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to create a mask. Then, carefully apply the mixture to your hair and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
You will get the best results when you do it once a week.
Argan Oil
Argan oil is a natural source of linoleic acids and omega fats – both of which are acclaimed for keeping hair moisturized and healthy. The presence of vitamins A, C, and E and antioxidant properties also help quite a bit when protecting hair from breakage.
Argan oil can be directly applied to the hair. Massage in 4-5 drops of it into your hair and leave it on for an hour or two. If you believe that your hair may need a little extra help – you can leave the oil on overnight. It is recommended that you use it at least twice a week.
Apple Cider Vinegar
With as much as 6% of its makeup being acetic acid, apple cider vinegar can really balance the pH of your scalp. A disrupted pH does dry up and damage hair quickly. Moreover, the antifungal and antimicrobial properties can also help prevent scalp infections.
Mix in 1 tablespoon of the vinegar to 2 cups of water. Rinse your hair with the mixture after shampoo use. Repeat once a week for best results.
Grapeseed Oil

Basically, a powerhouse of an oil that will keep your hair from losing strength and moisture. It is highly effective when it comes to stopping hair breakage.
Apply 2-3 tablespoons of heated grapeseed oil to your hair and scalp. Cover your hair up with a shower cap and leave it on overnight. Like most of the other treatments on this list, do this once a week.
